20 May 2008 I received a message from Ken Fairchild
this morning telling me that his brother, Gerald
Fairchild, passed away last night. His home was in
Amarillo. He was 81 years old and, as Ken said, he had a
long and productive life. He and his wife have no
children but she has friends here who will stay in
touch. Ken has been such a help to our class of '53 as
we have celebrated reunions. We have appreciated his
staying in touch and being available to be our Master of
Ceremonies or Disc Jockey, or anything else we needed,
numerous times. Please remember this family at this
time. I am sure Gerald's funeral will be sometime this
week.

I just talked to Toby
Druin. His precious wife, Larra Rodgers Druin,
passed away this morning. She had several problems
recently, and he had a knee replacement. They were
going to the doctor this morning because she was
having bronchial problems and low back pain. Her
burial will be in Waxahachie later this week. I
asked if I might pass this information on to all of
you and he said absolutely.
His email address is
tobydruin@sbcglobal.net.
If any of you want to contact him this way.
His address is 645 Tulane Drive, Waxahachie, Texas
75165. It was so good to hear his voice. Please
pray for this family.

30 Jan 2008 Charles R. Graham passed away. He is in
some of our class pictures at reunions, but I do not
show him in our annual for the class of '53. He was at
our 50th reunion, though. He is in our '52 annual, so I
assume he did not get his picture in the '53 annual. I
did know him, though.

29 Dec 2007 I received word last night from Elayne
Shults that Harold Daniel passed away yesterday. He had
not been well for some time. As Elayne said to me,
Harold was one of the wisest and most compassionate
people she has ever known, and smartest. I loved it and
I agree. Elayne said she will let me know when the
services have been set and I will instantly forward this
information. Please remember Barbara and their children
and grandchildren in your prayers.
